Ambassador Li Chao calls upon Estonian Minister of Entrepreneurship and Information Technology

On 26 March 2018, the Chinese Ambassador to Estonia H.E. Mr. Li Chao paid a courtesy call on the Estonian Minister of Entrepreneurship and Information Technology H.E. Mrs. Urve Palo in Tallinn. Both sides exchanged views on strengthening bilateral economic and trade relations and topics of mutual interest.

The Ambassador congratulated the Minister on the Estonian centenary this year and spoke positively of the bilateral relationship between China and Estonia in recent years. “The bilateral trade is developing steadily, the economic and trade exchanges are getting more frequent” , said the Ambassador. He said he will join efforts with Estonian colleagues to expand the scope of win-win cooperation between China and Estonia at bilateral level as well as within the format of 16+1 Cooperation and the Belt and Road Initiative. The Chinese government will accelerate the implementation of the three MOU signed in Budapest last year with Estonian partners and bring the fruits of cooperation to the people of the two countries.

The Minister welcomed the Ambassador to Estonia and said Estonia attaches great importance to Estonia-China economic and trade relationship. “We look forward to enhancing our cooperation with China to tap potential in ICT, e-commerce, logistics and tourism cooperation”, said the Minister.
