Ambassador Qu Zhe pays a farewell call on Estonian Foreign Minister Sven Mikser

On 15th December, the Chinese Ambassador to Estonia Mr. Qu Zhe paid a farewell call on Estonian Foreign Minister Mr. Sven Mikser.

The Ambassador gave a brief overview of China-Estonia relations in recent years. He said practical cooperation between the two countries have brought mutually beneficial results in various fields over the past a few years. The Ambassador spoke highly of Estonia’s participation in the Belt and Road Initiative and “16+1” Cooperation. He hoped both sides will join forces to implement the agreements signed during the 6th Meeting of Heads of Government of China and CEEC last November to bring win-win cooperation to the next level. The Ambassador also took the opportunity to congratulate the Minister on the successful Estonian presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The Minister was satisfied with the good momentum of bilateral relations and fruitful cooperation. He said that Estonia attaches great importance to friendly relations with China and looks forward to strengthening practical cooperation in various fields, at bilateral level and within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative and “16+1” Cooperation, that will benefit both countries.
