Ambassador Qu Zhe pays farewell call on Estonian Minister of Economic Affairs and Infrastructure

On 1 December, Chinese Ambassador to Estonia Mr. Qu Zhe paid a farewell call on Estonian Minister of Economic Affairs and Infrastructure Ms. Kadri Simson.

The Ambassador was satisfied with the mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Estonia in recent years and expressed his appreciation to the support of Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications and Minister Simson. He said both countries need to seize the opportunity of the 6th Meeting of Heads of Government of China and Central and Central and Eastern European Countries to bring the win-win cooperation to the next level. The Ambassador was confident that relevant departments of both countries will work together to implement the cooperation documents signed during “16+1” summit in Budapest, Hungary, which was witnessed by the Chinese Premier and Prime Ministers of CEE countries, including Estonian Prime Minister Jüri Ratas.

The Minister also expressed her satisfaction on the practical cooperation between Estonia and China in various fields. She appreciated the work and effort by the Ambassador for developing Estonia-China relations during his term in Estonia. The Minister said Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications and herself attach great importance to bilateral relations between Estonia and China. She hoped both countries will strengthen their cooperation at bilateral level and within the format of “16+1” cooperation as well as the Belt and Road Initiative.
